Assalam-o-alaikum
The looks of satan are quite repulsive. He looks dark and ugly. This is because his actions are always evil and this reflects on his face. Satan is mostly black-faced or red-faced because he performs black magic. Besides this, he also indulges in some loathsome activities that are beyond human imagination. For ex: he eats shit so that his magic spells become powerful. Most of us also imagine him to be a detestable and unpleasant looking creature.
In Chapter Saffat, verse no.64-65 of the holy Quran Allah has compared the tree that grows out from the base of the hell to the head of satan.
إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌ تَخْرُجُ فِي أَصْلِ الْجَحِيمِ (37:64)
37:64 (Y. Ali) For it is a tree that springs out of the bottom of Hell-Fire:
طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُ رُؤُوسُ الشَّيَاطِينِ (37:65)
37:65 (Y. Ali) The shoots of its fruit-stalks are like the heads of devils:
